J Armstrong Cattle is located in the heart of the beautiful Ozark Mountains in Alpena, AR. The owners, John and Shanna Armstrong have been around cattle all of their lives and both have grown to love and raise purebred Shorthorn cattle. We both strive to bring you top quality show cattle that are not only winners in the ring, but also sound and functional in the pasture. We offer herd sires and replacement heifers as well.

ASM Maga earns ASA Awards

ASM Maga recently earned the title of 2021-2022 ASA National Senior Bull Division Champion. Each year ASA awards regional and national points at sanctioned shows. Points are tallied throughout the year and we are honored to have a bull earn this distinction. Shanna takes great pride in the bulls we choose to raise not only for us, but for others as well. This award shows a culmination of effort not just this year but also across years of hard work and dedication to improving the breed.
